1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Semantic Code website and the educational programs offered on it (the “Services”). By creating an account or purchasing a program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Who We Are
The Services are operated by Tolstoi LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States (“we”, “us”, “our”).
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a program. Signing in works through one-time email links; you are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. One account is intended for one person: sharing account access is not permitted.
4. Programs and Access
After a successful payment you receive access to the purchased program in your personal dashboard. Some programs run in cohorts with fixed start dates and limited capacity. Access terms (duration, included materials) are described on the program page at the time of purchase.
5. Payments and Taxes
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Prices are listed in US dollars. Where required, sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout.
6. Refunds
Refund conditions for each program are stated on its page. To request a refund, contact us at the email address in the Contact section.
7. Intellectual Property
All course materials (videos, texts, assignments) are our intellectual property or licensed to us. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the materials for your own learning. Copying, publishing, or reselling the materials is prohibited.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services: no unauthorized access attempts, no scraping, no sharing of paid content, and no behavior that disrupts other participants' experience.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee specific results from completing any program. Educational content does not constitute professional advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the program giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, including sharing paid content. You may stop using the Services at any time; refunds are governed by the Refunds section.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Tolstoi LLC's registration, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced by email.
